environment
The term "environment" often refers to an ideological notion. Here, however, we use it in its original sense: that which surrounds us. Put another way, it represents the complex medium -both natural and artificial- in which man lives.
We have divided the environment into two broad categories: artificial spaces and the biosphere.
Artificial spaces include issues related to:
-
human habitation, including collective habitation (settlements, cities) and specific habitation (habitat, housing);
-
non-urban areas, including rural areas (urban-rural relations, desertification, etc..) and agricultural activities (agriculture, food, etc.).
-
territories, about which territorial foresight can facilitate their understanding through a dynamic and systemic approach.
The concept of biosphere takes into account all known natural resources of the planet: water, vegetation, landforms, ice, desert, energy, biodiversity and the climate system.
